‘Better Cooperation, Better Data Quality’ Conference will be held in Sofia

The National Statistical Institute and Eurostat will host a Conference for the European statistical data users in Bulgaria - Better Cooperation, Better Data Quality, which will be held on June 25th, 2018 at Hilton Hotel in Sofia.

The event is held within the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and on the occasion of the 138th anniversary of the establishment of the official statistical institution in Bulgaria.

Presentations will be made by Mrs. Mariana Kotzeva - Director General of Eurostat, Mr. Georg Georgiev - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, representatives from the BNSI, BNB, non-governmental organizations and others.

During the conference, producers and users of statics will have the opportunity to discuss ideas, present good practices, and share their requirements and expectations with the statistical data. Statistical products and services to which users have free, unrestricted access through the Eurostat website, the activities of the Bulgarian European Statistics Data Support Centre as well as the results achieved in the field of cooperation between the NSI and Eurostat in the preparation of user oriented products and services will be presented.

The winners of the National phase of the first European Statistics Competition for students, with the participation of 527 students from Bulgaria, distributed in 194 teams, will be awarded at the forum.
